Represented Artist, James Hinkle, at Milan Art Gallery in Downtown Fort Worth Texas

James Hinkle

James Hinkle introduction to the arts started at the age of 9 when classroom drawings show some talent for drawing war scenes with stick figures of cowboys and Indians. This led to art classes at the Fort Worth Children Museum during 1966 with many more art classes following throughout secondary school and high school. College ensued next, with degrees in Studio art and Art education from the University Of Texas in Austin in 1984. From there the trail goes cold, until 2008.

A rebirth of sorts took place and the latent talent revived itself after years of taking a backseat to a musical career spanning 30 plus years of touring, recording and producing Roots/ Blues music.

After years of traveling and performing it is now time for the images to come forward. Portraits mainly of people met along the way and places seen. Since 2008, Hinkle has produced paintings that are hanging in private collections from Texas to Belgium and many points in between.
