About the Artist...
The lifelike imagery of Covelle's sculptures has been described as "Living Bronze". The work is carefully researched over several years for precise, historical accuracy and detail. The artist is insistent on absolute precision in his depiction of both animal and human anatomy. Covelle believes, "You've got to make them breathe."

Among many awards and honors, Covelle has received the Gold Medal Award at the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame's Annual Art Show four times, and has been commissioned to create the official Texas Sequicentennial Medal 1845-1995.
